Back in college we, in between thoughtful debates of Socrates vs. And to a certain extent, for those of you who follow the franchises (and I do, having seen all of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies and having missed only Friday the 13th Part VIII - Jason Takes Manhattan), this one has been waiting in the wings a long time. What is it that draws me to these paragons of teenage slaughter? Why do I keep paying to see what is essentially the same movie over and over and over again? I’m an idiot and I can’t frigging help myself, that’s why. Of the precious few films that I’ve chopped (no pun intended) time out of my busy schedule to see, all the Oscar contenders and award winners that I’ve missed, I’m seeing FvJ on opening day.
